If a character has celestial blood luring deep within, and something awakens it, she could perhaps become a half- celestial over several levels. I've roughed out a progression for a "Half Celestial" class--or rather, a way for characters to adapt the template over time. Each level could be taken as the heritage becomes stronger--perhaps as the DM allows and/or requires. I'm not sure when to add wings--perhaps stub wings at the third level (Bonus on jump, reduced falling damage) and full wings at 4th. I've intentionally "Back loaded" the progression so that players will be encouraged to take all four levels, but find all of them useful. Any thoughts? (I know it is quite different from the methods of changing race in savage species, but this is intended to reflect a gradual change as a heritage comes out.) |

Then there's the straight-out Half-Fiend levels (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/sp/20031010a) (which would easily convert to "half-Celestial" Then there are the various Celestial Bloodlines (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/races/bloodlines.htm#celestial). I'd start by looking at those... |
