Alignment: Always True Neutral Treasure: none Advancement: 8-11HD(small), 12-15HD(medium), 16-19HD(large), 20-23HD(huge) Reekwart is a gnarled, angular, woody collection of cramped brownness with a faintly luminous yellow tip on a curled root and dark orange spots. Reekwarts are tenacious and dense fungi harboring symbiotic bacteria in their tails. They move by means of a spring-system in their tissue and compressed air and fluid sacks. The spores have a limited dispersal area and require very specific conditions for germination. Reekwarts use their ambulatory state to move around at night until they find the perfect state. They are docile in cold weather, but become agressive when the air is warm or especially humid (misty or foggy) and will attack anything within their blindsight, then track it down. Combat: reekwarts claw away and sting as many enemy combatants as possible with the aid of their surprisingly felxible and springy limbs. They will unleash a summoning scream after the first time they are physically injured. Disease(ex): a creature struck by a reekwart's sting must make a fortitude save dc:19 or contract reek rot (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=775029). Summoning Scream(su): Once per day, a reekwart can unleash a terrible ultrasonic shreik. Those within a 45ft radius of the creature must make a fortitude save dc:17(con-based) or be deafened permanently and take 1d8 sonic damage. (Those who save are still deafened for one round and take 1 sonic damage). This is only the preamble. One round later, there is a 50% chance of another reekwart appearing, a 67% chance of a violet fungus being summoned, and a 25% chance of a grey fungus appearing. These summoned creatures fight for 1d4 rounds before vanishing in a puff of spores. One creature appearing does not negate the chance of another appearing (IE, if a reekwart appears, the DM also must roll percentile to see if a violet fungus appears simulataneously). |
