| athanasius03-21-04, 02:55 PM | how do I alter the CR of a monster? So, if I want to make my monster shut down all magic in 100 feet, how much does that alter it's CR? It's better than a beholder's cone because it's all around so I can't just use the difference between it and a Gauth minus the HD can I? Besides, stun seems almost as useful. If I want to make a zombie's attack create other zombies does that alter it's CR? What about making an umber hulk be able to do it's confuse as a free action? How much would that change it's CR? |

Then post it on the boards to see if you were right. For example the beholders anti-magic cone is far weaker than it would be if say a dragon had it since all of the beholders attacks rely on magic while a dragon could simply use melee combat to crush their foes into dust. |
