Do celestial/fiendish animals count as animals? [Archive] - Wizards Community

I ask this question particularly with regard to spells that affect animals only, like Animal Growth, Nature's Avatar etc.

It kinda says in the template description that if the base creature is an animal, its type changes to Magical Beast. Pretty self explanatory there.
