Quick question guys n gals.

Does my CR 13 Fiendish Collosal Monstrous Spider gain feats thanks to his inborn INT of 3 or not?
The life of the PC's is ofcourse on the edge once again thanks to this problem...

Thanks in advance people!

I would give em feats. theyre intelligent after all.

The template might say otherwise though, a fiendish rat might just be a naturally evil rat.

nope. feats are determined by Hit Die, not Int. Having a higher Int might get him more skill points (doubtful with a 3 Int, but thats not the point) but he still only gets feats at the appropriate HD (1,3,6,etc)

I meant,

normally vermin dont gain feats because of their INT of 0.
Now its 3, do they gain feats? Per HD ofcourse.

Thats what i meant sorry for the unclearness.

Yeah, they have an Int score, so they gain feats and skills normally. They lose their Mindless quality, though, since they have a mind.

Yes, they gain feats and skill points. Not many class skills, though.

Well, whatever skills you give them for their racial HD are going to be class skills, so I'd say that's as many as they need. With such a low Int score they'll still only have 1 skill point per HD (plus an extra 3 for the first HD) so they shouldn't end up with many ranks in anything.
