Do Half-Vampires cast shadows? [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-05-07, 02:39 AM Yes. No where in the racial description of them does it say that they lack the ability to produce a shadow, so I feel quite safe in assuming that they follow the pattern of regular humanoids in this regard.

03-05-07, 02:09 PM Some movies, etc, like to say they cast dim or transparent shadows, as though the shadow is weaker. Remember that awful old Jim Carey movie, Once Bitten? His reflection was fading as he was changing. I would personally say they have a dim shadow, or a almost-solid reflection. Of course, it is a game-by-game judgment, and there is equal argument to either have it or not at all. Consider the cause of the loss of shadow or reflection. Mythologically, it represents not having a soul. So, if that's the case in your game, where does your cosmology stand in relation to the undead and their rare progeny?
