| NerdNumber102-25-07, 09:32 PM | The Mohrg(sp?)(MM) can make zombies and one epic level spell causes a powerful area effect, that then turns its victims into skeletons. There is a region in Eberron that causes the dead to rise. I'm sure there are other effects. |
| Domriso02-25-07, 11:21 PM | Negative energy fuel zombies and skeletons, so i personally say that any area that has great negative energy can randomly create zombies and skeletons. I don't recall any hard and fast rules about other ways for them to be created, but i'm sure there is. |
| Angelflesh02-25-07, 11:26 PM | The Dirgewood Tree from CC3 has an 8-mile radius that when an Animal, Giant, Humanoid, or Monstrous Humanoid dies and lays on the ground for at least 1 full round it rises as a Skeleton or Zombie. A creature with 2 or 3 class levels turns into a Ghoul and a creature with 4 or more class levels turns into a Ghast. I love using Dirgewood Trees, imagine the effects it could have in the vicinity of a battlefield. |

BBEG makes a magical explosion/poisons the water/sends his lackeys on a killing spree to make an unholy army. There is a machine in eberron that does the same in a 2mile radius and one that can cast inflict light woulds over everyone in a 10 mile radius. Think of that in Sharn, population: 200,000. |
