Do you like apple pie? [Archive] - Wizards Community

04-14-04, 11:24 PM Faerie Dragons are probably the most interesting creatures in the Multiverse.
A Faerie Dragon is an offshoot of the draconic species that is Feytouched. They are very rare, and it may be impossible to meet more than one in a single human lifetime.
Faerie Dragons can choose to have their hides be any color they wish, usually whatever color is their favorite at the moment. In all other respects, they are miniature dragons.
They can eat almost anything, but have a sweet tooth for apple pies.
Faerie Dragons almost never collect a horde, although they may have one or two trinkets that they value.

Faerie Dragons have good Will and Reflex saves.

These use the Faerie Dragon's granted Bard Level to determine caster level.
The Faerie Dragon's breath weapon is a cloud of euphoric gas that causes creatures who inhale it to sleep (Will DC 20 + Faerie Dragon's HD). It is a 90 degree cone that goes out 5' for every Hit Die.

Faerie Dragons have all the class skills that other dragons do. They usually
take fey feats (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/fey/20030815a) and learn fey spells (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/fey/20031010a).

Faerie Dragons are considered to be fey for the use of magic items, and all fey recognize them as such.

Faerie Dragons have the Scent ability.

04-15-04, 12:08 AM No! I hate apple pie! The old 2e apple pie was so much better! Sure you got rusty nails and razors in it and you had to bake it yourself, and you had to go grow the apple tree, but dagnabbit, it was so much coolerer and stuff.

04-15-04, 07:52 PM I would consider moving wish 1/day down to maybe Adult or Mature Adult, seems a little powerful that soon, but I don't really know how to judge the abilities of dragons.

04-15-04, 08:53 PM Really, they have wish so that the DM can have fun. Imagine if one of these befriends a PC and starts following him/her around. DMs can have lots of fun with that, and it makes a great deus ex machina when you really need one.

And they have a Wisdom score of 6 when they get it. :D Really, what would an 8-year old do if he got a wish every day?

Yeah but you had to use Thac0 to figure out if you hit so you could eat it..............

05-09-04, 02:11 PM I played with a Sorceress that had a faerie dragon familiar. I remember the Faerie dragon being able to cast invisibility at will. That was sort of the running gag, the Sorceress always seemed to be talking to herself. Also, the color of the dragon was determined by age.

05-10-04, 09:07 AM Whats the CR? Shouldn't the bard level be = HD? Now they will have much too high saves for their HD (fro instance, an faerie dragon with 11 HD will have saves as a 13 HD bard)

Actually, it is apple pie.

Ecology: Faerie Dragons eat fruit, vegetables, nuts, roots, honey, and grains. They are especially fond of fruit pastries and have been known to go to great lengths to get a fresh apple pie.
