| Sydney Losstarot07-02-03, 08:58 PM | Do you have any evidence? My DM seems to think otherwise. :nonono: I'm playing a vampire, so yeah...I was thinking I might be frightened ("Dawn! EEEK!!" ), at least until I realized what was going on... ("Hey, wait...the sun went down an hour ago!") |

("Hey, wait...the sun went down an hour ago!") It only simulates Daylight, it does not create it. ;) |
| Sydney Losstarot07-02-03, 09:18 PM | My DM's rationale was if Darkness protects a vamp from sunlight, then Daylight affects them normally. |
| cwslyclgh07-02-03, 09:43 PM | the monster manual (page 222) mentions only direct sunlight, which the daylight spell doesn't even claim to reproduce... according to the daylight spell discription the object touched sheds light in a 60 foot radius as bright as full daylight... it is simply letting you know how bright the light is, it says nothing about the light being actual sunlight. |
| DarkSoldier07-02-03, 09:51 PM | It's daylight, not sunlight, so all it would do is hurt the vampire's eyes, and maybe panic him for a bit before he realizes he's not going blooey. |
| (Psi)SeveredHead07-02-03, 11:19 PM | Take a look at the Night Hag and/or Nightshade for more info. |
| Tzalice Minoladir07-03-03, 08:12 PM | might force them into GF if it doesn't actually do its full effects. Just thoughts, never really considered it I guess... wow... and I played a vampie too ^.^ |
