Jaraka 12-26-05, 01:49 PM	alright, i was reading my new Complete Warrior, and came accross the Mindspy prestiege class, i figured this is cool, i got a doppleganger, why not read up on it. once i came accross the example, it said it had 3 levels in sorcerer and 5 in mind spy, but a CR of 11, that is a CR 8 in classes, so they only added 3 to their total. a DoppleGanger has a Level adjustment of +4, so should it not be a CR of 12? did the complete warrior make a mistake, or am i not making monster chars right?

Level Adjustment (LA) is used to find the Effective Character Level (ECL) of a PC/NPC with the formula: ECL = HD + LA + class levels. Challenge Rating (CR) is used to determine the Encounter Level (EL) of the monster that will face the PCs. LA & CR are never used together.
