I would think it depends largely on how the changeling was raised. Think of it like a "half-doppleganger" so like a half-elf, it would depend on which parent/culture it was raised with.

Isnt it that a changeling isnt the off spring of a doppleganger and a humanoid race? But years of them breeding?

"Changelings originated from unions between doppeleangers and humaniods in the distant pass. Eventually, their descendants become the changelings race"

Yes, but they are still raised and have outlooks similar to an equivalent to half-elves. I was merely using that as a way to explain them. If you want a really in depth look on Changelings, I recomend Races of Eberron.

If memory serves me, basically changelings have a sort of personal identity crisis, based off the fact they can change themselves physically in appearance to look any common humanoid (others too). This means they themselves as 'masters of disguise' have to push their own personalities into the background to fully pull off their disguises, if you've ever read the MTG short sotry about Sakashima the Impostor, it pretty much sums it up.

A doppleganger however would not have any such problems, to the doppleganger I believe they see the new form as little more than a new piece of clothing to be worn and removed.
