For folks interested in using doppelgangers in their D&D or d20 games, the Fraternity of Shadows website now has a new fan-written netbook available for free download: Van Richten Society Research Files: Doppelgangers. The link in my sig will take you there. Although primarily intended for Ravenloft campaigns and the Land of Mists' unique "dread" doppelgangers, there are also plenty of ideas -- new monstrous feats, detailed discussions of shapechanging and mind-reading powers, Evil DM Tricks, inspirational reading-lists and DM advice -- that can easily be applied in any game-setting where doppelgangers of any sort are found.
