What woudl be a fair and balanced way to take these two familiar enhancing feats, and let them stack? if combined with a high enough BaB, Improved familiar can allow one to have a familiar of the power of a Winter Wolf, and a wyrmling dragon is similiarly powerful (more so really).

My current thoughts are:

allow familiar earlier and/or bump the natural armor increase chart to match the standard familiar chart

OR

Maybe allow a hatchling to stay with the sorcerer when it becomes Very young?

this second idea opens up the concept of a chain of feats (which woudl likely be Epic) that allow the caster to have an ever more powerful dragon familiar, each feat having a certain caster level prerequisite

Just tossing around a couple of ideas here...

I actually like the second option there. It would extend the benefit of the dragon familiar feat similar to the other "improved" type feats.

although you are talkin about years for it to get to be very young, i do like the idea. makes more sense than it havin to leave when it reaches that age.

years, yes, but over a long running campaign, it isn't all that long...
