Compare these: http://www.wizards.com/global/images/products_dndacc_176680000_lgpic.jpg http://www.amazon.com/gp/reader/0786928840/ref=sib_dp_pt/002-2951653-3824807 ----- What are the correct title btw? (Should the "The" be included) |
| Iron Cobra06-20-05, 02:07 PM | That's a very minor discrepancy |
| Antioch06-20-05, 03:04 PM | Why? Does it really matter? Is it going to change your opinion of the book, or prevent you from buying it? Most likely whoever does the website didnt bother to update the image because frankly, its not a big deal at all. If you want to know what the real cover is, saunter on down to your game store and see for yourself. |
| Bloodtide_the_Red06-20-05, 11:37 PM | The correct title is Draconomicon, no 'the'. As to the 'Why'..... In big old companies like Wizards lots and lots of folks work on one book. And for a single book, they will get hundreds of pecies of artwork. They slow, group by group, pick what art to use where. There were very likely dozens of 'Dragon Cover Art' that they had to go through, plus varaitions on each. And plus where to put the text, and what text to put too. Eventualy, one gets picked. But there are dozens of other 'almost made it' covers. So Web Site Guy goes to put the pic of the books cover on the site. It's realy easy to grab the wrong one. After all it was put up before the book saw print. And don't forget the dreaded 'last second change'. They are set on a cover, for weeks...then an hour before the printing starts...they change it for whatever reason. Dragon Mag used to get covers wrong all the time..... BT |
