I just wonder about the "Dragon apotheosis" from the Dragon Disciple. In the DM Guide is written: "...and takes on the half-dragon template." Does that mean he also gets the Level Adjustment?
I mean you could get the Template at once and just be three levels behind but with full use of the special abilities. Why wasting time with the Prestige Class?

01-19-04, 09:50 AM nope, you don't get stuck with the LA. all of the abilities are already factored in to the class levels.

it's kind of counter-intuitive, but they have balanced the gains of the half dragon template over 10 levels, and factored in the benefits of the 10 extra HD and so the increased saves and BA. and offset the loss of most other class abilities.

make sense?
