Should I use the HD from my wyrmling (6 HD) or the master's HD (10) as is says in the PHB? 2) Related, which hit dice do I use to figure out the # of feats? 3) What is the max ranks he can have in a skill? Is it the same as the masters max ranks? 4) Can the dragon use a breath weapon as part of its full attack? 5) If I use the destroy water Special ability of a blue dragon, it says magic items like potions must make a will save. DC is = to the dragon's frightful presence. Wyrmlings don't have frightful presence, so what would the DC be? It's a first level spell, would I just use the DC for a first level spell? Sorry for all the questions, but I figure it's best to get them all out at once. Thanks for any answers you can give. |

Attacks: Use the master's base attack bonus or the familiar's, whichever is better. Damage equas that of a normal dragon of that kind and size" Draconomicon pg. 141. As to your questions: 1: A dragon gains (6+int. modifier) per hit die skill points to use. (So for a dragon with 6 hit die and 12 int. you should have 42 skill points) 2:You use the dragons hit die to determine feats, as usual. 3: No, the dragon can have a total of its hit die+3 in its class skills (should be listed in its description in the monster manual or in) and half that amount in every other skill. 4: No, a breath weapon is a special ability, not an attack, and must be made seperately as a standard action. 5: Wow, you seem to have discovered something the rest of us have overlooked. Personally, I would rule the will save at 11 for a wyrmling. The reason for this is that once the blue gains frightful presense, it grows at a rate of +2 per age catagory; so i just subtract two for each category between young adult and blue (4) so the frightful presense starts at 19... 19-2=17 for juvenile 17-2=15 for young, 15-2=13 for very young, 13-2=11 for wyrmling (which incidentally, is the same will save as if you treated it as a level one spells) Sorry for any inconsistancies and let me know if you need to know something else |

I checked the errata and there is nothing there either. How do I go about contacing WOTC and telling them about this? |
