dragon frightful presence - shaken question [Archive] - Wizards Community

hey there all, when a char fails his will save for frightful presence against a dragon he becomes shaken. for the life of me i cant find what that causes (ie. what actually happens to the character when he becomes shaken) any help would be appreciated, thanks

I'm not sure about this, I might be getting it mixed up with something else, but I think it give a -1 penalty to attack rolls, damage, skils checks, saves etc.
It should be in the DMG or MM somewhere.

Using that helpful reference tool called an index, and you'll find that shaken grants a -2 morale penalty on attack rolls, weapon damage, and saving throws as per the DMG 3.0.
