| Baelron06-14-04, 10:30 PM | I want to know what a good hoard would be for an adult dragon of any type. |
| Baelron06-15-04, 12:05 AM | If anyone would care to help me in this matter. |
| Deekin06-15-04, 12:49 AM | Look up the dragons CR Go to the back of the Draconium Find Treasear for that CR Whala, one hoard. |
| Baelron06-17-04, 01:53 AM | and if I don't have the Draconomicon how do I do it then. |
| strenoth06-17-04, 02:25 AM | look up the CR of the dragon. Go to the DMG, look up the treasure value for that CR, multiply by the amount listed in the dragon description (triple value I beleive). You cna either assign by average GP value, or roll randomly, and for any coins or items rolled, multiply by three (so rolling '2 medium magical items' becomes 6 medium magical items, roll them individually from there) I preffer to assign, make sure the dragon has stuff tht's useful to it.. and uses that stuff in combat. |
| Baelron06-17-04, 03:25 PM | ok thank you. |
| Enoch5206-21-04, 11:45 AM | I personally don't have the Draconomicon, so I use the 3x CR method, but since that tends to pull up a lot of art, and not many gems (dragons, in my mind, have lots of gems), I'll sometimes arbitrarily rule a certain roll comes up gems. And I'll often "cash in" some of the platinum for lesser coins- giving up a single platinum piece will give you a thousand pieces of copper! It also complicates the matter of how to move the treasure ... |
