CelestialBarbarian 02-22-04, 03:43 AM	Can anyone tell me what languages a silver dragon can speak, or more generally, where I can find what languages dragons speak? I scanned through the Monster Manual and Draconomicon during my campaign last night and couldn't find a mention of languages. I mean they obviously speak draconic, but what else do they speak? Thanks! :)
Boondoggle 02-22-04, 03:53 AM	I don't think there is any offical ruling on the subject. However, I would give them languages just like you would a PC: Draconic & Common automatically and one aditional language for every point of int bonus a wyrmling has. After that, they can use their skill points to learn more languages.
l3lasphemy 02-22-04, 04:59 PM	I'd do the same....until the Drco. 2nd edition comes out with detailed language differences....like dialects and such...then I don't see what else you could do...
Thomar_of_Uointer 02-22-04, 11:21 PM	It says in the MM that Dragons learn languages, but don't gain any base languages other than draconic. They get gobs of skill points with all their HD, so taking languages is easy for them. I'd assume that a dragon will know the languages of all of the humanoids in its territory.:)
