Dragon Mounts? [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-20-06, 11:52 PM Are there any monsters with the Dragon type or something similar that I could actually use as a mount at early levels, maybe something with a low Intelligence. Really just looking for a monster with a very inately arcane feeling that I could use as a mount.

08-21-06, 01:11 AM You pick up Draconomicon for some excellent information on dragon mounts, but for core, I'd suggest the wyvern. Just ignore the horrificly done picture (no offense to whoever drew it, I probably love his other stuff, but the wyvern could have been done much cooler).

If you could give us a list of available books, and your current ECL, it'd be easier to find you the right mount.

EDIT: Half-Dragon Heavy Warhorse would work. Fly speed of 100 ft., natural AC of +8, and five natural attacks (hooves, claws, bite). Intelligence score of 3 or 4.

08-21-06, 02:48 AM Thanks I thought about Half-Dragon for a litlle but once I said it aloud my DM looked at me like I said I liked golden showers.
