ok i need all your help with something for my homebrew setting:

im currently just begining creating the various nations, 15 total.

back in the mists of time, dragons of each of the various colors ruled over one nation, so Gold Dragons ruled one, while Blacks ruled another etc.

im going with the Chromatics(Black, Blue, Green, Red, White), the Metallics(Brass, Bronze, Copper, Gold, Silver) and the Gems(Amethyst, Crystal, Emerald, Sapphire,Topaz)

what i need from the WotC community is the hardcore personalites you all think each color shares. yes i know there are books out there that detail them but i want players views as well, if different...

the reason i need this is that each nation's people, while seperated by a vast amount of time tween the Dragons rule and the current time, still share some of the hardcore basic personalites of the ruiling Dragons.

thanx

Coppers are sassy and capricious, Golds are lofty and wise, Silvers are holy and righteous, Brasses are long-winded yappers and benevolent nurturers, Bronzes are warriors like military generals (I.E.: Patton, Macarthur, Lee, Grant, Spartacus, etc...), Blacks are despicable wild cards, Reds are malevolent dictators, Greens are vicious and wicked surprise attackers, Blues are orderly, regimental, equal oppourtunity killers, Whites are mean, predatory, ambushers. I really don't know much about gem dragons though. But i hope this helps you.

I pretty much see dragons as how the Draconomicon explains them.

However, I also protray Wyrmlings as being cat-like in their curiousity.

Aside from the brief write-ups about their personalities in the MM2 (do you have that?) there's nothing else written about them in general: majestic and regal amethysts who often act as mediators (a hold-over from 2e when amethysts were the most powerful gem dragon, apparently based from the connection to royal purple); friendly and fun-loving crystals; scholarly but aloof emeralds; militant and anti-social sapphires; and capricious and unfriendly (though not malevolent) topazes. Your campaign resembles the classic 2e Council of Wyrms, and their personalities as written there are still very much the same as now.
