| Ransolot02-11-07, 07:41 PM | Ok, this is a question about a dragon I am making right now. It is a basic mature adult Black Dragon. Now, its Base Attack Bonus is +22, making its primary attack a +28. This is right out of the MM1. Now, what Im wanting to know is, with its size cat. (Huge), it has a bite, 2 claws, 2 wings, 1 tail slap and 1 crush. Now, I gave it the multi attack feat. So, if Im not mistaken, its full attacks should be +28/+26/+24/+22/+20. Is this right or am I way off? Also, if it uses its full attacks, would it come out like this: Eample 1) 1 Bite +28/1 Claw +26/1 Claw +26/1 Wing +24/1 Wing +24/1 Tail Slap +22/1 Crush +20 or Example 2) 1 Bite +28/2 Claws +26/2 Wings +24/1 Tail Slap +22/1 Crush +20? I am trying to find this out because I think Ive been doing dragons wron this whole time  . Thanks everyone :D |

| Ransolot02-12-07, 12:20 AM | Just to be sure we are on the same page here...Its the multi attack feat..Not the multiclass feat :D . Just to clarify |
| Morwen02-12-07, 02:41 AM | Dragons don't use iterative attacks. It has a primary attack, at its full BAB, and any number of secondary attacks, all at BAB -5. With Multiattack, all of these latter are at -2 instead of -5. So: Bite +28, 2 Claws +26, 2 Wings +26, Tail slap +26. Each of these 6 attacks use a separate d20 roll to determine if they hit. A Crush attack can't be part of a full-attack action; it's a standard action to perform. |

An alternative way of writing it would be Bite +28, Claws +26/+26, Wings +26/+26, Tail Slap +26 It gets one bite attack, two claw attacks, two wing attacks, and one tail slap. If it's hovering, it also gains an additional pair of claw attacks while retaining it's wing attacks (depending on what information you use). Bite +28, Claws +26/+26/+26/+26, Wings +26/+26, Tail Slap +26 |

Bite +28, Claws +26/+26/+26/+26, Wings +26/+26, Tail Slap +26 If you use what the feat Hover says, you don't get any additional attacks. You instead lose your Wing attacks: A hovering creature cannot make wing attacks, but it can attack with all other limbs and appendages it could use in a full attack. |

That wasn't the case in 3.0, and I believe it says otherwise in the Draconomicon as well. |
| SALDAR02-13-07, 08:04 PM | That wasn't the case in 3.0, and I believe it says otherwise in the Draconomicon as well. The Draconomicon is 3.0. |
| obrysii02-13-07, 09:43 PM | The Draconomicon is 3.0. Not in the slighest. What could possibly make you think that it was? |
| Dead_Weasel02-14-07, 01:17 AM | The Draconomicon was released only 2 months after the changeover to 3.5; thinking it's 3.0 is an easily forgivable error. |
