| The Lone Sorcerer02-08-04, 07:48 PM | Are we talking feats and such or role playing . If were talking feats i'm pretty sure the normal riding feats work. Roleplaying wise i can think of a number of reasons. Perhaps a god os some sort has asked or ordered the dragon to ally with a "lesser" being for some mutual purpose. Or you could try and earn the respect of a dragon(a darn hard thing to do i might add). If it were the Dragonlance setting its really easy to find blues and silvers as mounts. Thats all i can think up right now i'm sure there are many others. |
| Charles Phipps02-08-04, 09:02 PM | A friend explained to me that Dragons with Riders get a number of benefits that they like to exploit * In Dragon to Dragon combat the dragon rider covers the explosed "back area" of dragon combat, giving an immense tactical advantage * The Dragon gets an extra attack per round with which lance or magic can be quite helpful * The Dragon also gets an extra pair of eyes watching his back regions Off things, I usually rule Dragons get Dragon-Riders by casting "Find Familiar" on a human being or training them or simply making a deal with an interested knight |
