Dragon: Monster Ecologies [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-03-07, 01:07 AM -Anyone purchase this compilation? I have a little extra money, and I was thinking about buying it. For those who have purchased it, is it worth the $19.95? And, just what monsters does it include, anyway?

I guess....do you often like the Dragon Monster Ecology articles? Myself, even when I don't like the creatures, I find them facinating and inspirational. The recent one on the devourer made me actually want to use one in a game, where as the MM flat bland image just makes me think of a lame suped up zombie. The linorm one inspired me to rewrite the MM2 versions of the dragons, which were sorely lacking compared to dragons of similar size. (See the 'Fixing the MM2' thread)

If you do like these, I can't see why you wouldn't buy the compilation, unless the convenience of having them together isn't worth it to you and you already have them in magazine format.

If you have no idea if you like them or not, I would suggest going to Barnes and Noble, sitting down with the book and reading it until you make up your mind.
