I just acquired this book, and was wondering when the hell it was released, since I don't remember hearin' anything about its coming either in reality or on wizards web-site ?!?!?! And its even in 3.5 format, which made it recent enough...anyone know when it got out ? Even though, I already have it, I'm just curious. Nice work from wizards, btw, great monsters in here, specialy the Fireand Frost Dragons !

Non?

It's been out for at least a couple months, I think. The reason that you haven't heard anything about it from Wizards is because it was actually created by Sovereign Press, a third party publisher. If you like Dragonlance, I highly recommend checking out some of their other books, like the Dragonlance Campaign Setting and the Age of Mortals supplement.

I already have the Dragonlance Campaign Setting, but haven't heard about the Age of Mortals Supplement, what the hell is that book for anyway ?

Dragonlance Campaign Setting, Age of Mortals, Dragonlance Bestiary, and Towers of High Sorcery are all out (at least in the US and Canada). DLCS came out nearly a year ago now, and Age of Mortals was shortly after that. The Bestiary was release maybe six months ago, and the Towers of High Sorcery was released about two months ago.

Age of Mortals is to inform the DM of any additional information they may need to know in order to run a campaign during the Age of Mortals, just before the Gods return to Krynn. The Dragonlance Campaign Setting is for the present day Krynn (after the Gods return), and the Towers of High Sorcery is detailed information on the history of these Historic Landmarks.

Kalanth : Thanks for all the infos, I will be looking for these other book as well. Are they 3rd party made as well ?

So, are you always playin' your D&D games in english or french ? ;)

Lol.. trop l'effort ben franchement.

:weep:

Um, just to satisfy others' curiosity, go to the products section of www.dragonlance.com for the release dates of these books. There are even some free preview PDFs.

Age of Mortals was September 2003, Bestiary of Krynn was June 2004, and Towers of High Sorcery just this September.

And now, the WizOs will be angry because they have no ways to know whether what was said was against the COC or not, so they'll ban everyone.

And to go back on topic:
I just acquired this book, and was wondering when the hell it was released, since I don't remember hearin' anything about its coming either in reality or on wizards web-site ?!?!?!

That's because this book isn't published by Wizards of the Coast, but by Sovereign Press. Only the Dragonlance Campaign Setting book was published by WotC (but wrote, layed out, illustrated, etc. by Sov). The reason is that WotC knows that the core setting book always sell well, while the supplement are often a loss. So the licensing deal was "all the risks are for you, all the benefits are for us, and you must pay us for the priviledge".

That's smart business.

Ehhh.. they ban what they don't know? That don't really seems right.
Hey you ! I have no idea what your saying.. *ban* ..
There's a problem there in my opinion..

I wholy agree, thats a pretty damn closed-minded way of thinkin. If you can't understand something, that doesn't mean its an insult direted toward you.

And I personaly don't think, that mods will be angered toward the two of us, for just a few lines of french ! My two cents about it.

On that have a nice day, SIR !

If they don't know what you're saying, they can't moderate effectively. Besides, Gez was using a literary technique known as "hyperbole", which is intentional exaggeration for comic effect.

Well, he was nontheless offending, insulting the quality of my french, heck it ain't perfect, but its still not a valuable reason to attack me about it ! Is he french too, like me btw ? You seem to know a few words yourself, Raymond, no ?

Yeah and? You can't do anything with something, you throw it to the waste whatever it could be? I know they have a lot of things to moderate, but it is really not the more intelligent act that they could do.

The entire extent of my knowledge of French consists of the word for "good day" and the song "Allouette" or however you spell that. The song about ripping a tiny bird into pieces.

Not banning, just warnings.

Boards just don't function unless we have a common set of communication methods. Heck, you see how bad it gets when we disagree about what a light weapon is, let alone when we don't all speak the same language.

I know, I know, but its just a few lines of french after all, its not like its the end of the world.

Guys, it's ok to post in other languages, but please be polite to other patrons and mirror your post in English. (For example, write your post in French, then re-write it in English in the next paragraph.) Thanks. :)
