Dragons and Ability Score Boosts... [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-19-06, 12:12 PM In the Monster Manual, true dragons are listed with their HD and ability scores. Now, take for example a young black dragon, with 10 HD and preset abilities as follows: 15,10,15,10,11,10. Would this creature get 1 ability score boost per 4 HD (for a total of 2 boosts at 10), or are these already tallied in the monster's stats? Thank you in advance.
