Amryll 01-11-05, 04:53 AM	i was thinking about giving blues and blacks gore attacks, due to them having horns,i was wondering how much damage they should do, and what cr increase would be appropriate, i was thinking to give them it at med size and starting at 1d6, lar 1d8 huge 2d6 gar 2d8 col 4d6, and double damage set against a charge, and durring a charge. i have no idea what cr increase this would be however, so any help would be good. thanks
ShinQuickMan 01-11-05, 07:20 AM	Well, they are more powerful than most chromatic dragons. There's no reason to make them stronger. And besides, the probably already use those horns in their bite attacks.
Endless Dave 01-11-05, 08:37 AM	Yeah, I would suggest just changing the bite attack to a gore attack for those dragons which have horns. You don't have to change any of the statistics (it's even the same type of damage, ha), but you can describe it differently.
Elthbert 01-11-05, 11:20 AM	I like the Idea, I think the damage is appropriate, and there are ways you could institute it without changeing there cr at all say by making it a feat, it seams logical to assume that a creature with giantic teeth would bite intinctively and that goring would have to be something which came with training, I certianly don't see a gore attack as unbalancing compared to say "clinging breath" Just make it a feat, I would give them their full streanght bonus if not 1 1/2 times their bonus, i mean the neck oon a dn has to be one of it's strongest musles, not to mention the leverage on the swing. I really like this idea, I thinnk I am going to use it IMC thank you for the idea. Oh and to the guy that said they where more powerful than the average dragon, the black is weaken a green, blue or red that puts them near the bottom of the power heep not the top.
