| Selgard07-17-06, 10:23 AM | Hallo :) thanks in advance for helpful information. I've been tryin to find the answer to this question, and hopefully some of you who are wiser than I can help. What Is the attack line of a (for example) great wyrm dragon? in the MM and such it lists: bite, 2 claw, 2 wing, tail, crush, tail sweep. It then lists the damage for such. Does this mean the attack line is: bite, claw, claw, wing, wing, tail, crush, tail sweep, for 8 attacks? or bite/claw/wing/tail/crush/tail sweep Some feats in the Draconomicon seem to suggest it should be claw/claw and wing/wing (the claw rend feat in particular- pardon as the precise name escapes me at the moment) Thanks again in advance for any help you can provide. |
| Thiez07-17-06, 10:29 AM | Full round action = 8 attacks, yes. Players are afraid of dragons, they have very good reasons. |
| Derren S.07-18-06, 02:05 AM | 7 attacks. Tail sweep is a special attack which can't be performed as part of a full attack. The rest is correct. |
| ieattrollsforbreakfast07-18-06, 05:53 AM | 6 attacks, Crush is a special attack as well. The dragon can do: 1 bite, 2 claws, 2 wings, 1 tail slap or Crush or Tail Sweep. |
| Derren S.07-18-06, 10:58 AM | Yes, sorry. I overlooked the crush attack. |
| savant_warlord1307-18-06, 01:30 PM | Another question: As near as I can tell, a flying dragon could make a crush and tail sweep attack in the same turn without using haste or anything. Did I overlook something? |

Did I overlook something? Both crush and tail sweeps are described as being standard actions. Since you can only take 1 standard action a round, both cannot be attempted without magical help. |

| thedmstrikes07-23-06, 02:37 PM | These actions are fully described in the Monster manual under Dragon. They are standard actions and thus can not be combined with a full attack without magical assistance. |
