| ank12-30-06, 11:33 AM | I've been pondering this for awhile and: How do you get PC stats for a dragon? I would figure you would roll the stats or use the point buy system, but what about after that? What kind of racial adjustments do you give them? Unless someone can convince me otherwise, im simply going to give +0 to all stats and simply have the stats rise as the age category increases. (but then a dragon could, using the floating reroll, technically have an int of 3:confused: ) |
| Morwen12-30-06, 11:38 AM | You find the racial stat modifiers like this (for all monsters that use the normal array of ability scores; those that use the elite array specifically say so in the monster description): Subtract 10 from all even ability scores, and subtract 11 from all odd ability scores. For instance, if a Dragon had Strength 14, Dexterity 10, Constitution 15, Intelligence 12, Wisdom 12, Charisma 15, it would have the following ability modifiers: Str +4, Dex +0, Con +4, Int +2, Wis +2, Cha +4. |

| MagicMouth12-30-06, 04:07 PM | A wyrmling´s ability modifiers varies depending on which type of dragon it is: a black wyrmling recieves +2 Con, -2 Int, -2 Cha, for example, while a gold wyrmling gets +6 Str, +4 Con, +4 Int, +4 Wis, +4 Cha. Use the formula Morwen provided above on the other types wyrmling to get their respective stat modifiers. |
