| Jhaelen03-08-07, 02:46 PM | Are there any dragons with gaze attacks? In particular, I'm interested in a patrifying gaze attack. Like the Dracolisk (from the 1st.ed. MM2)? I don't know if it's been updated to 3rd.ed. - Probably not, since it's basically a Half Dragon (Black) Advanced Basilisk ... |
| ephealy03-08-07, 07:02 PM | Yes. A dragon with the patrifying gaze of a basilisk (or medusa). |
| RavinRay03-08-07, 07:53 PM | IIRC, the rock wyrm (a lesser dragon from Silver Marches) has a gaze attack with its third eye, but the effect isn't petrification. |
| cwslyclgh03-08-07, 08:56 PM | I can't think of a dragon with a petrifying gaze attack, with out the use of a magic item, maybe a spell, or a template. |
| runestar03-08-07, 11:55 PM | Dracoliches have a paralysing gaze attack, though that is very easily circumvented...(freedom of movement). |
| El_Machinae03-09-07, 11:06 AM | It's a wonderful idea, though. Statistically, we'd have to go with half-dragon something. But it's still frightening. |
| ephealy03-09-07, 12:16 PM | Looks like I'll have to create one, then. |
| cwslyclgh03-10-07, 12:47 AM | are you going to show it to us when it is done? |
| ephealy03-10-07, 12:34 PM | Sure, Wes. Given your history as the consummate monster-maker, I'd love to hear your comments. It'll take a bit, but I'll post it here when I'm done. |
