Is the dragon type correspond to the true dragon requirement ?

03-21-06, 10:31 AM No. Merely having the dragon type is not the same as being a "true dragon".

A true dragon is one of those ones with the nifty age categories (all the way from wyrmling to great wyrm) in your Monster Manual or other tome. They are often actually listed (as they are in the MM) as "Dragon, True".

Dragons without those age categories aren't considered "true dragons" in that same special way. Neither a wyvern nor a half-dragon, for example, are "true dragons" (unless the base creature was also a true dragon, in the case of half-dragons).

03-22-06, 02:34 AM Nope. You qualify for any effect requiring the dragon type(becoming a dracolich etc), but you are not a true dragon, so no taking epic feats at venerable age etc.
