Choos 11-26-03, 07:25 PM	The detailed elemental drakes seem an interesting addition to the D&D universe(s) but wondering if they should/do have a standard number of legs? Some look Wyvern shaped with 2 back legs and arm wings and others appear to be shaped more like Dragons with 4 legs & seperate wings, or are those supposed to be semi detached arms from wings in the air and ice drakes? In either case I take it that their full/claw attacks come from their back legs while flying?
Vaalingrade Ashland 11-27-03, 12:39 AM	In dracology (yes, its a feild of study): Dragon: four legs, two wings drake: two legs, two wings pseudo-dragon: four legs, no wings wurm: no legs or wings orm: no legs, two or more wings But, none of the designers are dracologists.

Vaalingrade Ashland 11-27-03, 02:40 AM	eh... there's no limnorn in the book I've got. but wyvern are refered to as examples of drakes. Love the Drake, gotta love the Drake.
Tenzhi 11-27-03, 02:58 AM	Ah well, linnorms are probably based off of lindwurms which usually have four legs and no wings anyway. IMO, "wurms" as you described them should really be referred to as "serpents."
Choos 11-27-03, 03:24 AM	Cool so the Air and Ice Drakes just have anomolous appendages. ;) Guess that also means that FR Deep Dragons can take on Orm shape. Anyone else notice the Storm Drakes silver nearly translucent wings arn't visible at all? I wonder if it lifted it's arms whether it would have the wings somehow attached underneath perhaps even look a little like Spider-Mans under arm webbing?
