| Kabaris02-19-07, 07:56 PM | I was looking at using a couple of Drakestone Golems against my group, but I can't find a listing for what their breath weapon's "petrifying gas" actually does. I do not see any information in the Dragonomicon so I was going to treat it the same as a Medusa's gaze attack. Before I do does anyone know if rules exist for this breath attack? Thanks Kabaris |
| cwslyclgh02-19-07, 08:16 PM | gorgons have a petrifying breath weapon attack. it is pretty simple realy, any time something is listed as petrifying some one it turns them to stone, if the ability doesn't list a duration (and they seldome do) then the transformation is permanent (excepting of course a stone to flesh spell or some other magical means of recovery). in the case of the drakestone golem once every 1d4 rounds it can breath out a 30 foot cone, and anything in that cone must make a fortitude save (DC 27) or turn to stone permanently. |
