Does anyone think the DC 25 Craft (armorsmithing) check is excessive for creating a dread guard?? I mean, come on, the DC for an iron golem is only 20!!! What do you guys think? Maybe a DC 10 to 15 would be more appropriate.

Also has anyone seen errata (besides the 3.5 update) for monster manual 2?

Well, an iron golem is a golem-shaped metal. A dread guard is a fully articulate suit of armor.

Point taken. But if the creator wizard is justing putting together masterwork armor he has purchased from the local armorer, I don't see why such a high skill check is needed to simply assemble the pieces of a suit of armor.
