runestar 03-27-06, 11:15 PM	I noticed that the Dryad's tree dependency ability was a supernatural one. Does this mean that if she was in the radius of an AMF or dead magic zone, this would suppress her connection with her tree? If so, what exactly would happen? Would she suffer the ill effects of being apart from her tree even is she is well within the radius, as the link no longer works, or is she no longer bound by this constraint? Thanks in advance. :)

runestar 03-28-06, 05:14 AM	From the SRD...to make the discussion more convenient, Supernatural Abilities (Su): Supernatural abilities are magical but not spell-like. Supernatural abilities are not subject to spell resistance and do not function in areas where magic is suppressed or negated (such as an antimagic field). A supernatural ability’s effect cannot be dispelled and is not subject to counterspells. See the table below for a summary of the types of special abilities. Tree Dependent (Su): Each dryad is mystically bound to a single, enormous oak tree and must never stray more than 300 yards from it. Any who do become ill and die within 4d6 hours. A dryad’s oak does not radiate magic. It would make sense if the ability was an extraordinary one, but well... :D
Spike_Fightwicky 03-28-06, 12:18 PM	I think it could go either way. The way Su abilities are worded, she'd lose that entire ability. However, maybe if the ability is suppressed, she won't be able to sustain herself through her tree anymore and will start dying. It depends on how evil your DM is :D
