Does the earth mephit's breath weapon increase from 1d8 to 1d10 when it uses it's Enlarge Person ability? It's a supernatural ability and creates physical projectiles, so I would say yes. Bigger mephit = bigger rock pebbles & higher speed of discharge. Thoughts?

The description for enlarge person:

All equipment worn or carried by a creature is similarly enlarged by the spell. Melee and projectile weapons affected by this spell deal more damage. Other magical properties are not affected by this spell. Any enlarged item that leaves an enlarged creature’s possession (including a projectile or thrown weapon) instantly returns to its normal size. This means that thrown weapons deal their normal damage, and projectiles deal damage based on the size of the weapon that fired them. Magical properties of enlarged items are not increased by this spell.

The breath weapon will not increase in size or damage. And nothing says that the rocks and pebbles are real.

Edit: Ok, so I just noticed that the mephit does have a Change Size ability that works like an Enlarge Person spell. The breath weapon is still not a physical weapon (it would have to be Ex, not Su) and would not do more damage when enlarged. Its not a melee weapon or projectile weapon, its a breath weapon.

I don't even know how it can't be real. Maybe you meant magical. Anything that does damage is pretty real!

Yes, I guess if it were an Ex ability it would be more likely. The line in Enlarge person says it doesn't increase magical damage. I suppose this may fall into that category.

Even if it was EX, your creating bits of flying rocks. They arnt being exspelled from a weapon, so they would reduce to normal size upon creation, and do damage acording to there original size.
