Jastra of the clawed hand 01-06-05, 11:43 AM	I'd like to create a half-fey human character. Problem is: I can't stand the idea of having him run around with those butterfly wings - he's a rather serious character and those would make him look plain silly. If I remove the wings - all other abilities stay the same - does the Level Adjustment decrease? It's +2 with wings, does it go down to +1 without them?
ieattrollsforbreakfast 01-06-05, 11:54 AM	Well, flight is worth +1 or 2 LA, so in theory it should drop it to +1 LA, but with all the other bonuses you get it clearly is more powerful than races such as the planetouched or feytouched. The unbalanced abilities and enchantment immunities coupled with the SLAs are clearly worth more than +1 LA. I would leave it at +2 LA personally. I think the template should be higher than +2 LA in the first place come to think of it.
Jastra of the clawed hand 01-06-05, 12:01 PM	Sounds ok, charm person at will and immunity to enchantments are pretty harsh. I was inclined to just leave it at +2 LA, but I wanted another opinion. Thanks.
DM Zoc 01-07-05, 12:48 AM	I'm inclined to say that the wings are optional: you should keep the LA and just have magical flight.
