It has 16HD and a lot of special abilities resulting in an ECL of 25. Alright. Then I have a look at the Epic Level Handbook (including the error corrections of course) and I find the White Slaad as an level equivalent 24 character. Come on... the White Slaad is much stronger. The Aurumnach wouldn't stand long enough against him (especially regarding the damage reduction of the Slaad). Now to my question: taking into account the rules of the Savage Species book, the Aurumnach is much too expensive regarding levels, because the "strong" powers like DR, SR, .... don't have such a great effect at levels around 20. So, I would rather suggest to give him a ECL of 20. What do you think? Alexander |

ECL is equal to Level Adjustment + racial HD... are we realy expected to believe that a white Slaad has a level adjustment of +0 (as it already has 24 HD)... I think not! Wes :) |
