Effigys' base monster [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-07-07, 12:10 AM Im Looking to create an effigy master, but im not sure what to use as the base creature. i really dont want to create an animal, or a creature that has to be huge or bigger for it to be at all powerfull.

effigy creatures lose all special abilities, spell like abilities and most extraordinary abilities, so im entirely unsure what sort of monster would be good. Could any one help me out?

For the money you want an Effigy that's large with a lot of HD. Dragons are the way to go.

02-07-07, 08:38 PM What lvl are you? The effigies HD can't exceed your caster lvl, so we really need that to reccomend a specific creature. But generally a Humanoid shaped creature is useful, for the utility of being able to use it hands.
