| danzibr03-13-07, 09:53 PM | Yeah, I could make it two posts, but this is easier. First of all, I'm making a class (here (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?p=11759352#post11759352)) that pretty much entirely depends on electricity damage. Now, I did give an ability to bypass this, but... I guess what I'm getting at is: How powerful of an ability is it to bypass (specifically) electricity resist? Can it be given as a scaling level ability or would one have to sacrifice a bit to get around the resist/immunity? As for my second question, how do you pronounce Tarrasque? The first time I heard it, it was like TAR-uh-SKEW. Like the word tar, then uh, then skew. I've also heard TUH-rask. Just wondering. Thanks in advance for your help! Dan |
| runestar03-13-07, 10:03 PM | There are feats which let fire or cold spells bypass resistances and immunities(but only deal 50% damage), at +1 slot increase. I suppose this could be extended to electricity as well.:) My pronunciation has always been "ter-rasq-ke".:P |

So as a class feature does granting resistence pierce at 50% damage seem reasonable? Or maybe knock the cost down to 1 point and have it do 50%? Dan |

Maybe have it start by allowing you to ignore a small amount of electrical resistance and/or immunity, and slowly improve, until it finally allows you to ignore immunity altogether at higher lvs? The feats I mentioned should be in sandstorm and frostburn (IIRC), if you want to look them up for reference. |
