| Melles, Lord of Badgers05-05-04, 05:28 PM | i just had the spiffiest, if not craziest idea ever! lets make elemental grafts! like, a fire graft has a perment light effect, can look like anything the user disires (if approite, such as you don't want your legs to look awkward, so this graft-type will not be suited for leg), and disappears and is useless under water. air grafts all look like clouds. air legs replace land speed with a fly speed, and can look like anything the user disires. smoke grafts are simular, but deal heat damage. Water grafts are like fire grafts, save they can sufficate foes insted of burn them, has no perment light effect, and is useable, if not stronger, in water. Earth grafts grant a burrow speed, increase streanth and weight, but gafties take a -10 on there swim, jump, and climb checks, and if they had a fly, swim or climb speed, they lose 10ft of there original speed. Magma are like water and fire grafts put togeter: has a perment light effect, can look like anything the user disires, they can sufficate foes and are useible if not stronger in water. Steam: Magma - light effect and is unuseable in water. Lightning: Fire but wiht another kind of damage, all metal weapons are stuck to the graft like a locked gauntlet and gets free disarm attacks (+5 bounus), and lastly, if the graft is ever in contact with water, any other creature touching the water takes lightning damage. Ooze: same as water, but slightly stronger. Ice: as earth except deals cold damage. Acid: Water that deals Acid damage. i know that acid is a energy, not a element, but it doesn't matter:D. Any ideas? edit:listings! Elemental Grafts by Megrim_Lord Earth: Spine of the Earth Elemental Grafts by the_other: Cold: Remoraz Scales |
| Melles, Lord of Badgers05-05-04, 10:11 PM | come on somone has to be as crazy as ME:rolleyes: |
| Rarus05-05-04, 10:18 PM | Elemental grafts? Well, I considered it before, but the idea of grafting a limb made of elemental energy to an organic creature is just plain strange.:( |
| R.M.G.C.L.F.05-05-04, 10:21 PM | Elements are normally substances, like rock, water, air, etc. Fire is the only energy-based element, and it lead to many foolish misconceptions like people trying to make elemental planes of sound and such. Earth grafts would be easy, it's fire, water, and air that are the real toughies. |
| Melles, Lord of Badgers05-05-04, 10:22 PM | i know, i'm nuts...stick a dime in electric socket!*Zap* NEH!!hehe!:) :D :) I wonder if there is a zaping yourself smilie:D |

| Incenjucar05-07-04, 03:34 PM | Elemental grafts.. I could see inserting a gem or something made of concentrated element in to a being's body, and that being considered a 'graft'... but the closest thing beyond that I can see is the half-golem template. Grafts generally require organic or bio-mechanic things to work. Elements are simply too basic. Now, an elemental infusion is another matter... |
| NightScreamer2005-07-04, 06:43 PM | The only way I could see this pulled off is using a creature with that elemental subtype. Like Belker Smoke Claws, Rast Burning Legs, Frost Worm Lung, Chuul Paralytic Tendrils...that sorta thing. |
| Melles, Lord of Badgers05-12-04, 02:39 PM | i was thinking on the lines that a crystal or something can bind an elemental to the removed limb and the elemental can be controled like a regular limb Belker Smoke Claws, Rast Burning Legs, Frost Worm Lung, Chuul Paralytic Tendrils those are good too, someone make those |
| Mithral Icesilver05-12-04, 04:18 PM | Chuul don't have an elemental subtype. They don't even have the Aquatic subtype! |
| Melles, Lord of Badgers05-24-04, 09:31 PM | true, but they are very earthy if you ask me. |
| NightScreamer2005-24-04, 11:52 PM | In 3.5 Chuul have the Aquatic subtype so there :smirk: |
| Melles, Lord of Badgers05-26-04, 05:03 PM | ah, see, i always use 3.o cause its just the first one i got. any how, any ideas? |
| Melles, Lord of Badgers05-27-04, 11:07 PM | this idea is too good to die!!!:bump::bump::bump: |

| Melles, Lord of Badgers05-29-04, 09:35 AM | thank you, but i'd say that you need just a little help here Major Artifact: Remorhaz Scales grafts aren't artifacts +5 scale mail or magic items they are limbs, skins, and organs actually put in inside the persons body, often in place of other organs, limbs, and skins thus, this ACTS LIKE +5 Scale mail, and one prerequsite has to be the feat "Graft Flesh" (FF) and since it is no longer an artifact from my corrections, needs market price and the Gloves of the Magmin should be Hands of the Magmin or Arms of the Magmin and since it is always on, it should be a natuarl attack otherwise, good job, and i hope i didn't put you down too far |
| The_other05-29-04, 10:47 PM | o stupid me....... Remorhaz scales if grafted in skin these scales give the wearer the essence of a remorhaz fire immunity and heat ability of remorhaz if wearer gets mad dont know about preq stuff yet |

| Demonfey10-05-04, 05:24 PM | Elemental gland: allows free application of elemental status and an immunity to one element, as well as a vulnerability to another. These are the only bonuses. This will allow the other grafts to be explained more easily. Body of Flame: you gain a burn attack equal to a fire elemental of your size. I am not good with prices. I just throw out the ideas. |
| Kanthalas10-06-04, 10:29 AM | ScaledFolk's Tail: This tail graft allows a character to make a tail attack as a secondary attack (-5 attack) at 1d6 + 1/2 str. Costs 15000 gold Wings of the Archon: A wing graft which gives the character a fly speed of 90 feet (good). The graftee suffer a -2 charisma penalty when dealing with Celestials. cost 78000 gold Wings of Devils: A wing graft which gives the character a fly speed of 50 feet (good). Good characters attempting to graft these wing to himself experiances extreme pain dealing 1d10 profane damage for 1 minute during which the leathery skin turns to ash, destroying this graft. The graftee suffers a -2 charisma penalty when dealing with Devils. cost 40,000 gold Fists of the Fire Elemental: (prerequisite Elemental Gland: Fire) Fists of the Fire Elemental implants a bead of pure fire into the graftee's palms. | Demonfey10-23-04, 04:09 PM | A couple of those glands should be in other spots. And there are already fiendish wings. See Fiend Folio for more info on them. |
