elemental whirlwind attack [Archive] - Wizards Community

09-06-04, 07:46 PM The Monster Manual indicates that there is a reflex save to avoid taking damage, and a second reflex save to avoid being caugh in the whirlwind.

Are these two seperate saving throws or is the second one only possible if the first one fails?

09-06-04, 08:25 PM Two separate rolls.

One for the damage, and then, regardless if the first save is made or not, the character needs to make a second save to avoid being pulled into the whirlwind, and taking further damage each round until escaping.
