Elementals and Protection from Evil [Archive] - Wizards Community

05-31-07, 02:16 PM Are elementals blocked with the Protection from Evil spell or does that only block them if they have been summoned with a summoning spell? Wouldn't someone had to have summoned them at one time to bring them from their plane?

No, Elementals can very well come to the Material Plane through other means than summoning, just as people from the Material Plane can travel to other planes.
