| Silent Infinity07-12-04, 03:21 PM | Greetings all. I DM a campaign of my own creation that is one part d20 Modern and one part Fantasy D&D world. The campaign centers around the existence of a magic system in the Modern world that a very few, and very certain, number of characters attain. That magic system has ten elements. Those elements are fire, earth, water, air, ice, lightning, light, dark, positive and negative. Now here's my issue. I need elementals for all of these elements. I already have fire, earth, water, air and ice. I've waited to build new elementals because I had read that "Light" and "Dark" creatures would be appearing in the latest Dragon Magazines. The light-centered Dragon Magazine, number 321, did not have any elementals, specifically, but number 322, which I just got today, does! It has a pseudo-elemental of Darkness. They are very nicely done and I'd like to know how they were created, unfortunately the magazine did not go into it. Granted, I've read the rules on making elemental creatures in the 3.5 MM many times and am prepared to make the new elementals I need. However, if anyone has any information on building elementals, on the pseudo-elemental design, or the like, I'd like to hear/see/read it. Also, your opinions on thoughts on the elementals and how they exist today are appreciated. I want my campaign to be rich and full for my players and this is just another part of that. |

I have the manual of the planes and it is indeed helpful, at least in some ways. The Ice Elemental stems from that book. Also, the information on para-elementals can be useful. The two Energons in the book will be of some basis to my negative and positive elementals. I'm interested to get the Planar Handbook for more information as well. |
