| Sir Knight05-18-06, 07:40 AM | Hello all! I know that the Cooshee made a come back in Races of the Wild but I was wondering about the Elven Cat and the Elven Horse, the Yyllethyn, from Dragon 269. Any 3.5e stats on those? Any help would be great, thank you! |
| Wolf7205-18-06, 09:05 PM | in the absence of some sort of arcane/sorcerous template I like using the draconic template |
| Sir Knight05-18-06, 09:48 PM | What? I'm talking about the specific monsters from AD&D 2e... a template wouldn't work in that regard... I'm looking for actual conversions. :) |
| Silverthumb12805-19-06, 02:44 AM | I don't have that issue of Dragon, were the stats 3.0, or 2nd edition? |
| Sir Knight05-19-06, 05:34 AM | 2nd Edition. I have the issue of Dragon with the horse in it... is there a conversion document (2e to 3.5e) for the monsters? |
| Kearif05-19-06, 04:51 PM | I have the conversion manual by Skip Williams right here with me. post the old stats and I'll try to update them for you see even two-headed chromatic dragon can be nice sometimes. |
| Sir Knight05-19-06, 04:56 PM | Okay, first we'll start with the elven cat. Thank you SO much! Elven Cat: Climate: Temperate Forests Frequency: Rare Organization: solitary Activity Cycle: Any Diet: Carnivore Intelligence: Semi to Low (2-7) Treasure: nil Alignment: Neutral # AP 1 AC 4 Movement 18 HD 3+6 THACo 17 # atk 3 dmg/atk d2/d2/d3 Spec attack see below spec defense see below mr 20% Size T (1' tall) Morale: Elite (13-14) XP value : 650 Elven cat: Cats kept by elves have evolved into magical creatures, possibly aided by arcane means. They are very intelligent and have their own language, and many can speak a crude form of the elven tongue. Some live with gnomes, brownies, or woodland creatures, and also speak a basic form of their keepers' language. Most have gray-brown fur with dark stripes. Elven cats are very stealthy, imposing a -5 penalty to opponent's surprise rolls. They are surprised only on a 1. Elven cats have a 99.9% chance to move silently, and a 90% chance to hide in wilderness areas. They are excellent climbers, can leap 20 feat with ease, and enjoy swimming and playing in water. Elven cats have magical abilities that they use to avoid enemies. They have limited ESP which is used to determine intent. they can use Enlarge and Trip once per day, and Reduce and Tree twice per day; for magical abilities, elven cats are treated as 9th level spell casters. Enlrage doubles an elven cats HD and dmgl tree allows it to assume the form of a tree's limb. |
