EMPYREAN

Empyrean is an aquired Template that can be added to any humanoid of good alignment.
The Template allows the base creature to summon divine cosmic power from within their own souls, transforming them into Elite Guardians.

HD: When the base creature transcends its HP's double and it adds its Cha Modifier asa bonus to all existing HD.

Speed: An Empyrean's speed soubles for all movement types.

AC: Empyrean's gain an insight bonus equal to their Cha Modifier.

Attacks: Empyrean's gain an insight bonus on all attack rolls equal to their HD + their Cha Modifier.

Damage: Empyrean's gain an insight bonus to damage equal to their Cha Modifier.

Saves: Empyrean's add their Cha Modifier as a bonus to all saving throws.

Ability: All abilities are doubled (base ability scores not Magic Items).

Skills: Empyrean's add their Cha Modifier as a bonus to all Skill Checks.

Challenge Rating: ??????

Level Adjustment: ??????

08-27-06, 06:41 PM CR would be insane, but I wouldn't worry about LA, because no sane DM would ever allow the use of this on a player.

Other than that, I'd check out the Paragon template (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/epic/monsters/paragonCreature.htm) for an idea of the CR.

08-28-06, 02:24 AM I think the template's focus is too narrow and doesn't give the creature any real flavor. Templates are the GM's way of giving a monster a new coat of paint not giving them a charisma bonus to everything. I recommend using the Saint template instead, but don't let a PC within nine planes of it or you may as well get ready to start the campain over.

I recommend using the Saint template instead, but don't let a PC within nine planes of it or you may as well get ready to start the campain over.

The flavour of the Template simply isn't included.

I think I will look towards the Paragon template for ideas.
