Or was, since we are now getting films such as those off the coast of Japan and the 108-foot individual filmed off the Sea of Cortez. To the OP: I have given a few scenarios out before with the giants. They're the most fun in an adventure where you have the means to breath underwater. Facing a giant on its own terms is sort of an awe-inspiring moment for players: you can be dwarfed by a dragon, you can be dwarfed by a titan, but it isn't until you see such a beast in its own watery realm, a creature whose dinner-plate sized eyes watch you move, tentacles swinging, an aura of alien intelligence from a creature that is smarter than most of its invertebrate kin watching you, studying you, maybe for food, maybe from curiosity, that you truly understand that humanity isn't the top of all of the food chains. |
