It hisses at you, but seems to cower at the sight of your torches. More quickly scurry to investigate. When there are a dozen or so, their attitude begins to change. They get a strange gleam in their eye, and the one who was cowering at your torches just now speaks: "You should have left when you could, bright one! Now we feast on your flesh!" Waesels are not unlike weasels in build, size and fur color. They can be easily mistaken for their kinder kin. They are, however, much more dangerous and bear and innate hatred against all "smart" races. Waesels are pretty stupid by human standards, somewehere betweeen the stupidest human and the smartest dog. However, they possess great natural cunning and use it quite effectivley in pursuing their goal: The utter anihilation of all "smart" creatures (creatures with int 4 or more.) For this goal, they can become smart or even superhuman geniusses for a short time each day. They use this power to build civilizations, form battle plans, and the like. A Waesel's favourite class is cleric, though they have no patron Deity, since you have to posess a certain intelligence to ascertain godhood. Combat If they haven't already, and are facing heavy opposition, Waesels use their spark of intellect. Otherwise, they gnaw and bite their opponents. They save their moment of Genius for when they are fighting a losing battle. Spark of intellect (Su): Once per day, for up to an hour, a Waesel can use this power, wich immediately sets it's intelligence to 18. Anything memorized in this period is still known by the Waesel is still know when it's intelligence reverts to 3. Waesel use this power to form battle plans and the like, since you can't fight smart enemies while you are stoopid yourself. Moment of genius (Su): Once per day, for up to an minute, a Waesel can use it's most devastating power. Waesels usually save this power for use against the smartest monsters or to save their own skin. When a Waesel uses this power, it's intelligence is set to 30 for the duration. Furthermore, it can cast spells a Sorcerer of it's hit dice, but with intelligence as it's casting stat. Death to the bright ones (Su): A Waesel's bite counts as a Bane weapon against any creature with int 4 or greater. Immunities (Ex): Waesels are completely immune to mind influencing effects. --------------------------------------------------------- There it is! Now you all know what my name is about! :D |
| TheMudhead09-05-03, 02:42 PM | I just couldn't resist comment here.... This creature sounds pretty.... stupid. Pardon my pun. Don't be angry. Ii-i... don't like it when y-you're angry.... As a modified moon-rat it's not really original.... Your numbers are also too high.... 6d6 for a claw attack from something about the size of a weasel.... So it only uses it's spark during those times when it needs it.... how can it get time to learn stuff; what spells do they know with a 3 intelligence that they can cast with a 18/30 intelligence? I don't know of any.... |
