| Fasius08-22-04, 09:16 AM | Shouldn't this thing have spell-like abilities? |
| Purkake08-22-04, 09:36 AM | If they are combat-oriented why do they have so low ac? |
| Drake Dragonslayer08-22-04, 11:01 AM | Originally posted by Fasius Shouldn't this thing have spell-like abilities? Nope. If they are combat-oriented why do they have so low ac? Because of their HP. ------------------------- Any help with my Actual request? |
| Mithral Icesilver08-22-04, 11:36 AM | I have no idea. CR's get all wonky at epic levels, and I've only ever done one epic beasty before: Maxwell's Demon, as shown in the series A Wizard in Rhyme (or rather, the second book of the series, which is the only one I've read). You might try the folks on the ELH board. |
| Kilsek of Sheverash08-22-04, 11:41 AM | First thing I'd do is compare it to any epic monster that's close in power, HD, etc. in the ELH. Even if you find something that's only 80% close, that's a start, and you can estimate it's CR from there. Alternatively, crack open your Deities & Demigods and try to find a god that's close to your monster in in power, HD, etc. instead and use that as your baseline to ballpark its CR. |
