One would have powers over electricity and rain, while the other would have mastery over clashes of thunder and wind. Each would be an epic threat in its own right, but a mated pair would be responsible for catastrophic storms.

As unpredictable and violent as a storm, lightning dragons can be both benevolent and cruel. Their power rivals that of even the mighty prismatic dragons, and they are just as rare. Each lightning dragon clams miles and miles of territory and patrols it often. Trespassers are dealt with depending on the dragon’s temperament, some being killed on sight and others are let pass as long as they do not threaten the dragon. Kindly Lightning dragons, while not as common as evil, sometimes join forces with the forces of good.
Lightning dragons have dark scales covering their body with yellowish-white stripes. Their eyes eventually fade into orbs of yellow-white which constantly cackle with electricity with age. As the dragon grows older, the tips pf their wings also take on a yellowish tint.

Combat
Lightning dragons fight as the intelligent opponents they are when forced to combat. Their will usually use their breath weapon if surrounded, following with a deadly array of spells and a fury of claw and bite attacks.
Breath Weapon (Su): Lightning dragons have only one type of breath weapon, a cone of forking lightning.
Deflection Force (Su): As an epic dragon, lightning dragons are surrounded by a protective force equal to their Charisma bonus.
Air Barrier (Su): A lightning dragon bends the winds to its will, providing a 20% chance of automatically blocking attacks.
Water Bretahing (Ex): The Lightning Dragon can breath underwater.
Spell-Like Abilities (Sp): At will- Gust of Wind, Energy Vortex; 3/day-Control Weather, Whirl Wind, Storm Rage, Thunderswarm
Greater Air Barrier (Su): The lightning dragon’s control of the winds increases at Old age, providing a 50% miss chance.

Actually, that's a good idea. I've got homebrew dragons I submitted as an article query to Paizo's Dragon that have different abilities based on gender. A similar case exists for the kapak draconians of Krynn: the male's saliva is poisonous, while the female's saliva heals that specific poison.

12-13-05, 09:28 AM It's not a WotC issue per se, it's vBulletin's which doesn't (yet) support tables. About the best that can be done is to use the Code tags (click on the vB code link at the very bottom of this page for an example the tag) for a fixed-spaced font that doesn't wrap-around the border. Then replace your underscores with white spaces.

Air Barrier (Su): A lightning dragon bends the winds to its will, providing a 20% chance of automatically blocking attacks. Water Bretahing (Ex): The Lightning Dragon can breath underwater. Spell-Like Abilities (Sp): At will- Gust of Wind, Energy Vortex; 3/day-Control Weather, Whirl Wind, Storm Rage, Thunderswarm Greater Air Barrier (Su): The lightning dragon’s control of the winds increases at Old age, providing a 50% miss chance.

RavinRay 12-12-05, 09:07 AM	This might prove me to be insane, but what if Males and Females each had different abilities, each representing part of a storm? Actually, that's a good idea. I've got homebrew dragons I submitted as an article query to Paizo's Dragon that have different abilities based on gender. A similar case exists for the kapak draconians of Krynn: the male's saliva is poisonous, while the female's saliva heals that specific poison.

About the best that can be done is to use the Code tags (click on the vB code link at the very bottom of this page for an example the tag) for a fixed-spaced font that doesn't wrap-around the border. Then replace your underscores with white spaces.
